Literature Text

There's a knife
In the drawer
Waiting for a hand
To pick it up.

It longs to eat,
The fresh blood
Of a poor misguided girl.

Like a vampire it
Hides away,
Shielding itself away
From the day,
Waiting until nightfall,
To bite.

There's a gun
In the safe,
Waiting for the trigger
To be pulled.

No one's safe,
From the anger
And devastation
Of a poor misguided boy.

Like a war,
The sides advance
Just to simply draw back again.
Fighting the urge to
Start a massacre in the street
That ends with a single death.

There's a bottle
In the cabinet
Waiting for the top
To be pulled off.

Insides poured out
Into the mouth
Of a poor misguided child.

Like a parasite
That's trapped inside,
Wanting to devour lives
From the inside out.

There's a note
On the bedside
Table,
Waiting to be read.

Inside lie
A list of
Suicidal tendencies
Of poor a misguided child.
Silly little child. Don't you know the best way to kill yourself is by shooting yourself with a poison tipped arrow?*

*That's not me telling you to shoot yourself with a poison tipped arrow.**

**That was me telling you to not shoot yourself with a poison tipped arrow.

It's very creepy and sad, but it's really good.
It's hard to choose my favorite stanza this time because they're all great, but I'd have to say I like the second stanza best.

It longs to eat
The fresh blood
Of a poor misguided girl.

I love how you have that repeating part, 'Of a poor misguided ___' it's just really cool (that would sound really weird if I said that aloud.)

But there might be a small typo in the ending line.
It says 'Of poor a misguided child' instead of 'Of a poor misquided child' I think :O
